Today was an important day.
I went on a hike with my former student, whom I shall refer to as Rocky. We walked and talked, and it turns out, she really likes Squirt, whom she went on a hike with just last week. It was quite interesting to think that they might actually become a couple.
But, he lives in Oregon.
So....

Want to see some of Dan's stained glass pieces?
I'm so proud of him for finding an artistic crafting hobby, learning it, and getting GOOD in one month!

Dan has been doing stained glass for the past month and he is quite good. We carved out a corner of the studio for him and I like sharing it. He is much NEATER!

Working on some fun ornaments for Christmas!

This is is not a tray of cinnamon buns. But, I worked on making these items for a long time. Today I wedged them up. Recycled clay! It's a great batch.

10-16-20

This day we had dinner with Squirt and Rocky and Nana and Gwennie and I brought Gwennie this butter/cheese dish that I made.
Squirt and Rocky went on a hike beforehand -- where they met for the first time.
(Rocky is a geologist, hence her nickname. ) It was a lovely evening! A life-changing day for sure.
Squirt leaves tomorrow for Oregon. He's been home for several weeks, what with the wedding and the gallbladder surgery...

Some more goodies from the kiln!

Need I say more?

10-4-2020

Two days after the wedding, Squirt was in some serious pain. We thought it was his back. Eventually we took him to the ER and he was diagnosed with a sick gallbladder. He is in the hospital and had surgery today to remove it. We haven't slept much in days and Squirt has had a terrible time. So much worry. We hope and pray that all goes well. The gallbladder was dead and had probably been the cause of his back pain for many years.

This vase, Aza made in high school. It has two openings and so we called it the Mexican wedding vase. It was at her wedding!
Aza and Sup leave today for their real honeymoon in the mountains.

The day is here!
I did not take these photos--a professional did.
More later after a nap...

9-27-2020

It's rehearsal dinner time! The gang is all here and we are socializing outside to be safer from Covid.

People wear masks when they are in the house... for the most part.

9-26-2020

Two days until the wedding! I'm making mints here... paddling the fondant.
And I picked up the flowers yesterday and have them in buckets in the office and started putting together arrangements. Dan's parents and siblings are arriving today!

Rusty is very content in my mom's house now.  He found a ball of yarn I'd left behind on a visit!
My kids are all home now for Aza and Supbra's wedding! Even my grandbaby J who is still "on the inside."

Lots going on!
Squirt and Jes came home.
Squirt is helping me build 10 3D printers.
Jes is helping with wedding details, like painting this sign!

This is Rusty, born under mom mom's house in March. He was wild and scared and today he decided to play with me- I made a toy with a stick and a ribbon... and gave him a scratch behind the ears- and he decided people were pretty useful!

9-18-20

I made another shirt from fabric scraps. This one I have actually worn in public.

9-13-2020

I hand sewed a shirt from scraps of Alabama Chanin organic cotton.
It was like putting a puzzle together without a guide. I may never wear this shirt in public, but it was still fun!

I'm Chrissy and I'm 57 today.
And I think I have fangs.
