My mom wanted me to make her a coffee mug that fit under her coffee maker, but also fit in the cup holder in her car, and was also light. I got 2 out of 3. It doesn't fit in her cup holder. But, it's cute!

We are leaving soon for Milwaukee, but before I go, I wanted to make these cats for Sta. She is opening a cat-themed business, and wanted some cat items for her store. Here's Grayson admiring them.

I took some time away from upholstering to teach my nephews, Buddy and Fossie, how to make cheese. It did not turn out well!

6-18-21

More progress. I can't believe I'm doing this.

6-17-21

Some pieces are done. Dan borrowed a compressor and bought me a hand staple gun that hooks up to it. That should help, because the staple gun we had was killing my hand.

6-16-21

I decided to reupholster the couch, and actually bought the fabric in Anniston when we were there last week. Here I am prying one of thousands of staples out. It was quite difficult and ended up hurting my wrist such that I had to have it in a cast for a week.

I made some little cat figurines for Baby J that spell his name. Here he is playing with them on FaceTime with me!

6-11-21

My first craft fair in a long time. I only had this little folding table... and the bin below... but sold almost $500 worth of mugs!

6-10-21

We got home from our trip up north and I unloaded the kiln. These beauties were waiting for me!

6-9-21

This is the Little River Canyon. We drove all along it today, and even stopped at a glass blowing place in the middle of nowhere.

6-8-21

This is Russell Cave. It was a home to Native Americans. The water comes up out of a spring. It was so beautiful, peaceful, lush.... and I could imagine children playing below long long ago.

6-7-21

So we decided to rent a cabin in the NE part of the state for a few days. On the drive up, we stopped in Anniston, Alabama, where a monument to the Freedom Riders was painted on the wall next to the old bus stop. It was a shocking story to learn about.

Another craft I'm working on is beeswax candles. Here I am attempting to pour it on this piece of shelf paper so I can make a sheet to roll up into a candle.

Listing my newest mugs on Etsy.

There are baby birds nesting outside of our back door. This is the daddy-

Here is my office all cleaned up and painted.

5-21-21

FaceTime with my baby... feeding himself!

5-20-21

I dyed some things with avocado pits and peels.

5-18-21

We got home and of course, I wanted to paint. So, I picked out a dark gray and painted my office.

5-13-21

Today Baby J sat by himself! He is 5.5 months old.

5-12-21

I like the way the mountains look in the distance in Colorado.

5-11-21

We finally are setting up J's room in the new house so he can at least take a nap in his room.

I went and got my hair did!

5-10-21

Spending each day with J, we have created lots of games and things to entertain ourselves.

5-8-21

So cute. Here J is with the rattle I made him!

Today Baby J and I joined the others at the new house, and I had to improvise a place for him to take a nap!

5-3-21

We are staying at the J's apartment while they work on their new house. I'm spending the days with Baby J while they all go work on ceilings and walls. I got the better end of the deal, for sure!

5-2-21

I can' t let too much time go by without seeing my grandson. We are on our way to Colorado.

4-30-21

Still making pots- lots of mugs these days. I gave away about 12 of them on our recent trip to Virginia and want to replenish!
