This is the book I sent J. He's looking at a photo of his uncle Supbra.
And he loves his little cotton rabbit!

I finally made it to Denver. The trip was postponed because J got COVID and I wanted to wait until he was past his most infectious phase. Also, Jes was told that she needed to stay in the hospital for the rest of her pregnancy, and that prompted me to get there asap. Man, I look old.

So when I'm not with my grandbabies, I like making things for them. This is a book I made for J. It's full of photos of him with his family.
spring has sprung!

I discovered a cult following.... these little cotton rabbit designs are adorable.
They are like potato chips! This was my first. (As I type this, it's May 27th and I've made six thus far...)

Determined to make black African soap, my student came over to help as we added more KOH to what I'd made last week.

I wanted to find the Osage Orange tree in the arboretum so Dan and I went for a walk and I found it!
3-12-22
I made three sweaters for the babies to give at Christmas. Next, I'll make custom buttons for each of them.
3-8-22
I'm so excited to show J all the arts and crafts that I love, so got out the watercolors today. He painted me a purple bird flying off a bent tree.
I wanted to take J to school with me to meet some coworkers, plus I had to pick up a prescription and get something from my office. Here he is working at my desk!
J's favorite treat is ice cream.

We went for a walk with Jay to the Town Creek pond to see the turtles and big fish. Next time we need to remember to bring some bread to throw in the water. There were some crumbs on the deck, and that was fun to watch!
A stop at the art museum installation...

Pregnant sisters at their brother's wedding. What a lovely, absolutely perfect day.
My sisters came... and I got to spend a day with them.
and my son married his best friend.
Our mother/son dance was very touching.
All the grandparents were there!
The cake my mom made was spectacular.
The ring bearer....

The wedding is two days a way. Helping mom today with the cake some more. I was tasked with rolling the gummy surface off the cake layers. Kinda gross. I enjoyed eating ALL the scraps though!
2-26-22
My mom is working on baking Squirt's wedding cake. She is still in a wheelchair but stands for brief periods on one leg.

Tonight in class we dyed fabric with indigo. Here are two undergrads really getting creative.
It was quite a mess and the stains in the countertop never came out.
I took a friend's broken mug and made a coaster out of it.
