Saturday. I graded papers all day. That's all I remember. The flower in the middle is a mystery. Anybody know its name?

Just discovered my mystery flower. Snake's Head Lily. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fritillaria_meleagris for more information. Apparently they are quite rare.

Howdy - I haven't been keeping up my blog like I would like to. I'm either working, playing with my grandaughter or getting my IV iron infusions. I would guess that this is a Fritillaria possibly Fritillaria montana. I've planted them in a garden that I once had - but I've never seen one in the wild. That was a super catch. Thanks for sharing this fantastic capture!
