 Dan and I are at a weekend-long workshop this weekend focused on nature. It's at an ecology preserve that has dorms and rooms for meetings. I took a fish printing class today and it was super fun. I also took a class on how to make mead, and went fossil hunting. Making mead involved squishing grapes by hand, and they started burning my hands like fire ants biting them.

My students and I are re-creating the mural I painted 10 years ago in Virginia. We worked on it for two hours today, and it is coming along nicely. It brings me great joy to see it come to life again.

The mural is coming along. It was painted 10 years ago in Virginia, but was destroyed in a building renovation. My students and I are re-creating it on canvas so we can move it should our classroom move one day.

This was my morning and my day-- in the ER with my mom who suffered a TIA. She is fine now... fully recovered, but it was a wake up call to slow down and take care of herself better.
