The fish print from Macon, Georgia

9-26-25

Dan and I watched two of our grands this weekend while their parents celebrated their 5th anniversary. We had a grand time, except for the melt downs.

9-22-25

While at the craft fair, I took some clay and made an impression of a fish on a drain cover. Stay tuned for the final ceramic tile.

9-21-25

True troopers, we went back the next day. Didn't sell much.... but showed that rain who was the boss.

9-20-25

Our first craft fair post-retirement did not go too well today. It was in Macon, Georgia- a couple hours away. At first it was so hot, I prayed for a respite of some sort. When it started to rain, I thought my prayers were answered. But then it stormed so badly and for so long that our tent busted and we lost a table full of mugs. Here are some photos from before the deluge.

This is during.... see the water running down the street? My butt is not that large.

9-14-25

It's my birthday week! Turning 62 sure feels strange.

9-3-25

Ever since making myself a leather watchband to replace the one that broke, I've been obsessed with leather working. Today I finished some shoes I made for my little Rose.

8-18-25

My colleagues gave me a rocking chair as a gift when I retired. Today I finished the cushions I made for it.

8-17-25

Teensie is home for a visit and she and Grayson are warming up a "bit" to each other again. Not much.

8-13-25

Aza had an American Girl doll as a child, and now her daughter Rose has Felicity. I decided to make Felicity some clothes and some shoes.

8-2-25

I don't know what inspired me, but I offered to take Rose to the store to get some project supplies. I got some fabric to make cushions for the truck, and also got some supplies to have Rose make herself a jewelry box.

8-1-25

It's done! Before and after. I officially like doing mosaics.

7-31-25

I'm working on re-building the stone paver outside the synagogue.

7-22-25

I always bring art supplies with me to see the Js. This time, there is a dog too. I guess he likes paint as well.

7-19-25

We are in Denver because Jes and Jef are in Michigan for a rowing competition. J-bird got sick and was having trouble breathing so I took him to the Urgent Care place at the hospital, but they admitted him to the ER to get a breathing treatment. We were there for many hours but his lungs cleared up.

7-18-25

Dan worked on fixing a hole in the chimney at the Js house

today.

7-16-25

Happy birthday, Nana. You would have been 117 today. I made J-bird a pirate coat. No pattern.

7-14-25

I'm back in Colorado! The J's have a new puppy. It's a zoo.

7-9-25

I've been working on these two yahrtzeit plaques for my synagogue for about a month now and tonioght Sakura went with me to install them. It was hard work but they look great.

7-6-25

Retired for six days, getting ready to head out of town, I broke another toe. This time I was running fast through the house to wrap up a package and I stubbed the left toe #4 on the bathroom door.

6-30-25

Goodbye laptop computer and stickers. This is my last day of work!

6-25-25

Only 5 days left before I'm a free person-

This photo of me with Crackers is just adorable even though I have two chins.

6-9-25

I designed this on my iPad for Dan to make out of glass. The semester is over and I've only got three weeks left before I retire!!!

5-30-25

The interior designer suggested this fabric for pillows for the den.

5-24-25

I don't remember what Mom was doing here, but it's a great photo of her. Maybe it was Dan's birthday dinner at her house

5-22-25

I'm determined to make our den more attractive and am following the advice of an interior designer that came to the house. This is one suggestion she had. I moved all the family pictures to the hallway and put some of Bob's work here.

5-17-25

Little Rose had her birthday party today- early- turning 3 on May 23rd. I made the mermaid for her cake..

5-16-25

Working on stamping the prayer on the atara for my 2nd cousin once removed's bar mitzvah talit.

5-1-25

There was an award ceremony for faculty who had books published in the academic year. It was a nice ceremony.

4-24-25

I really do not like this conference, but it was in Denver so I had an excuse to spend time with the Js. I spent one night in the hotel with Jes and the other nights at her house.

Got to see my cousin there too!

4-21-25

I drove back to Colorado with Jes and family so I could "attend a conference."

It took three days. I was in the back the whole time.

This was my view.

4-19-25

Photo day at the family reunion. Four generations present.

4-18-25

In Lake Arthur for the reunion. Jes and family drove down from Colorado for it! Dan and I drove down with Mom. We went to an aligator museum with the Js. My mom brought a bunch of cakes and held court like a queen cutting them all for people.

4-13-25

My mother was very concerned that someone was at her door in the middle of the night.

4-10-25

Sta and Will came to visit before our epic family reunion in Louisiana.

Squirt and Will have been best buds since they were babies. I think I look like Sta.

4-6-25

Getting ready to teach a bunch of 2nd graders how to weave. I made a backstrap loom and practiced.

4-1-25

I was obsessed with figuring out the Yiddish in this document that mentioned my great grandmother, Ester Gittel. It's from a cousin back in the old country who was trying to get help.

3-25-25

I worked hard on creating these stamps for Pesach but could not get them right. I must remember to work on them again so that they will be on my Etsy for 2026.

3-11-25

I got to see where Jes works today.
