Aza and family decided to use two of the three penguin costumes I made THIRTY YEARS AGO and make two more for themselves for Halloween. I just love this so much!!! I stayed in the house while the rest of them went collecting candy because of my bladder hurting.

This is the pipe that was laid in the trench. It carries drainage from the back yard to the street. And for that, they probably killed two trees.

The neighbors are building a house, as I've discussed before. Today workers were digging a trench between our properties and they cut our internet cable. But that's not the worst of it. They dug this trench right next to our pine and our magnolia trees, cutting the roots.

In the middle of the night, my mom's Ring doorbell went off-- police were there to tell her that someone had crashed into her fence.

I bought some shelving from a friend who had these in her business. Dan and I installed one of the two that I bought today.

Dan and I watched two of our grands this weekend while their parents celebrated their 5th anniversary. We had a grand time, except for the melt downs.

While at the craft fair, I took some clay and made an impression of a fish on a drain cover. Stay tuned for the final ceramic tile.

True troopers, we went back the next day. Didn't sell much.... but showed that rain who was the boss.

Our first craft fair post-retirement did not go too well today. It was in Macon, Georgia- a couple hours away. At first it was so hot, I prayed for a respite of some sort. When it started to rain, I thought my prayers were answered. But then it stormed so badly and for so long that our tent busted and we lost a table full of mugs. Here are some photos from before the deluge.

Ever since making myself a leather watchband to replace the one that broke, I've been obsessed with leather working. Today I finished some shoes I made for my little Rose.

My colleagues gave me a rocking chair as a gift when I retired. Today I finished the cushions I made for it.

Teensie is home for a visit and she and Grayson are warming up a "bit" to each other again. Not much.
8-13-25
Aza had an American Girl doll as a child, and now her daughter Rose has Felicity. I decided to make Felicity some clothes and some shoes.
8-2-25
I don't know what inspired me, but I offered to take Rose to the store to get some project supplies. I got some fabric to make cushions for the truck, and also got some supplies to have Rose make herself a jewelry box.

We are in Denver because Jes and Jef are in Michigan for a rowing competition. J-bird got sick and was having trouble breathing so I took him to the Urgent Care place at the hospital, but they admitted him to the ER to get a breathing treatment. We were there for many hours but his lungs cleared up.

I've been working on these two yahrtzeit plaques for my synagogue for about a month now and tonioght Sakura went with me to install them. It was hard work but they look great.

Retired for six days, getting ready to head out of town, I broke another toe. This time I was running fast through the house to wrap up a package and I stubbed the left toe #4 on the bathroom door.
