Snuggling Frisbee.
Been going to schools all week to meet teachers I will be working with this crazy busy semester I'm about to embark on.

8-12-15

Frisbee is dying. I hold him a lot now. His time is short on this Earth. My heart is breaking.

8-11-15

I don't want school to start. I don't want school to start. I don't want school to start. I don't want school to start. I don't want school to start. I don't want school to start. I don't want school to start.

Squirt is moving out. This is the bed that our friends gave him-- brought home on top of the car. He is accumulating things this week and cleaning the apartment.

8-8-15

With the extra sock yarn, I am making some baby socks.
Not that I have a baby... but maybe someday I can be a professional knitter and a grandmother.

Mom had us over for dinner and we got to sample two different pies and homemade ice cream. The ice cream was flavored with cinnamon and rum. OMG!!!

8-7-15

The socks I worked on all the way to Virginia and back are done.
I wish I had a job that just involved knitting.
I would design things, spin, knit, publish patterns, photograph things...
Oh, what a life.
I found my calling too late.

8-6-15

Frisbee is not well. He has stopped eating.

My cotton crop is coming in.
Summer is ending and next week things pick up. I am mourning Frisbee already, and the end of my summer.

8-1-15

Today we moved Aza into her new apartment in the city in which I was born. Here I am with my BFF, fixing to have dinner at a Cuban restaurant in the city.

We unloaded the U-Haul in a short time.

I cleaned... we put stuff down... and it was hot. No AC.
It's an adorable apartment.

7-30-15

We drove to Virginia today. It took 9.25 hours with only one stop for gas. We are helping Aza move tomorrow.

7-26-15

Dan bought this yesterday from an antique store in Pine Hill. I wonder what its story is...

7-24-15

This is a rose a student gave me last week. It's still pretty!

7-16-15

Week long workshops- the 13th, 14th, today and tomorrow.

7-13-15

Squirt is drying laundry this way because our dryer is busted. Dan ordered a new motor but it hasn't arrived. There is a fan blowing on the laundry. Ingenious!

7-8-15

The fruit of our garden... Spooning veggies!

7-5-15

Happy 29th birthday to Jes. We left today to go home, and so did she.

7-1-15

This is where I had to stop for a speeding ticket. Whoops! That was a 45mph zone? On the way to a yarn shop with Aza. I must have gotten a little too excited.

6-30-15

Dan and I cooked dinner for everyone tonight. Quiches, corn salad, asparagus salad, and berries with fudge sauce over ice cream for dessert.

I did not play volleyball. This is a posed photo.

Aza and Jes and The Bachelor went canoeing and brought back these water lilies.

Playing in the back yard at Grandma's after dinner....

6-29-15

The bikers went 22 miles while I shopped in Cedarburg with Aza.

 Guess the flower!

 Guess the flower!

Happy Fathers Day to my baby daddy. I love you!
Oops... I said I wouldn't put this on my blog.

6-20-15

Getting ready to teach a camp, I made 30 drop spindles (above) and photographed a bunch of fiber (below).

6-17-15

I've been going for walks each morning. This morning I saw this kudzu covered forest with a hidey hole and thought that if I were a kid again, I'd go exploring in there and end up covered in poison ivy and mosquito bites.

What do you notice about this scene?

 Working on another sweater.
This is Mr. Kitten below... Strawberry Shortcake's new baby.

Not in the mood to blog lately.

My dad is in town visiting. Today we went to lunch/brunch at Amsterdam Cafe. Later, Dad and I went for a walk to see the construction at the corner. Dad leaves tomorrow. It was nice having him around. I wish he would move here.

Happy birthday to many of my friends today. Seems great people were born on this day, especially my life long friend.
